It is not known if the graphics card is a Founders Edition variant or an AIB model, but the chip was running on an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU. The graphics card was tested in 3DMark and several titles. In terms of synthetic benchmarks, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16GB scores 13977 points in the 3DMark Time Spy Extreme (Graphics) test, 17465 points in the 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra (Graphics) test, and 17607 points in the 3DM Royal Port Benchmark test.

In comparison, my heavily overclocked and custom RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X scores 11643 points in Time Spy Extreme, 13554 points in Fire Strike Ultra, and 15124 points in Port Royal. If we compare these numbers with the RTX 4080 16 GB, we get the following performance:

This is still slightly slower than the 760GB/s throughput offered by the RTX 3080, as it comes with a 320-bit interface but less than 10GB of capacity. To compensate for the low bandwidth, NVIDIA may incorporate a next-generation memory compression suite to compensate for the 256-bit interface.

The card will have a TBP of 320W, which is 30W lower than the TBP of the 12GB RTX 3080 and significantly lower than the TBP of the RTX 3090 Ti, while offering a huge performance jump. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16GB and RTX 4080 12GB graphics cards will be available in November for $1,199 and $899, respectively. Given that the card finishes around 20-30% faster in games than the RTX 3090 Ti, it could be.
