Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is sounding the alarm about the Biden administration’s efforts to renegotiate the Iran nuclear deal, He warns that he will create a “nuclear powder keg” from the Middle East.
The former prime minister issued a stark warning about the dangerous consequences of restarting the deal and how it would affect nuclear proliferation in the Middle East and beyond.
“Other countries in the Middle East will also try to acquire their own nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu warned. “Fox and Friends” on Wednesday. “So this agreement, which is supposed to stop the proliferation of nuclear weapons in the Middle East and weapons of mass destruction in this neighborhood and beyond, will actually lead to nuclear proliferation and cross-proliferate the Middle East. This will turn the Middle East into a powder keg, a nuclear powder keg.”
“This is crazy,” I continued. “This is the height of stupidity. It cannot be done.”

Earlier this week, a report said the Biden administration was closer to accepting the deal amid ongoing negotiations because Iran refused concessions used to serve as a roadblock.
Some of these demands, which have now been rescinded, reportedly relate to the terrorist designation of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and investigations by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
“I think this is a terrible deal, a dangerous deal that will pave the way for Iran with gold, a gold-paved highway to a nuclear arsenal,” Netanyahu said. “If Iran has nuclear weapons, they don’t just threaten my country, Israel, or the entire Middle East and America’s allies. They threaten you directly because at the same time they are developing nuclear weapons, they are developing the means to deliver them across continents.”
“So you could have an Iran ruled by these fanatical ayatollahs who would hold every city in America hostage for nuclear weapons,” he said. “I think it’s a threat to the peace of the world, and that’s what facilitated this terrible deal. It’s worse than the first.”
Even after that, the Biden administration faced criticism for trying to revive the Iran nuclear deal Assassination plots against Trump administration officials presented in recent weeks.

Critics worry that restarting the deal will only strengthen Iran’s terrorist regime and backfire both regionally and internationally.
National Security Council coordinator John Kirby told Fox News on Tuesday that Biden “understands” the concerns of Israel and neighboring countries, but is determined to use diplomacy to rejoin the JCPOA and prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities.
