Jimmy Donaldson, America’s biggest YouTuber, shared his thoughts on money in an interview published on September 27.
Speaking with host Graham Stephan YouTube podcast “Iced Coffee Hour”, Instead of collecting profits in his personal bank account, Donaldson said he invests the ad revenue from the videos he makes into producing new content.
“I live in a studio right there, so I don’t worry about paying for a mansion. I don’t drive a Lamborghini. I would live a really stupid lifestyle on purpose because it gives you freedom,” he said.

Donaldson continued, “I love the money because I can hire more people and grow my business, but not being able to increase my lifestyle or anything,” Donaldson continued, adding, “I’ve only left this studio once in the last 20 days. . live here, I don’t need money for other things.”
The YouTuber said that he can “withdraw money” from the channel at any time for his personal use, for example, if he is invited to a $50,000 poker game.
“I’ll just withdraw 50 grand and play there. So I don’t have access to capital if I need it,” he said.
Donaldson told Stefano that he was driven by “making the best videos possible,” adding, “Everything I do comes from that.”
Donaldson is one of them the most famous and highest paid Creators on YouTube. In July he reached 100 million subscribers on its main channel and streamed his reaction live for viewers. He is currently the second most subscribed individual creator on YouTube behind Pewdiepie.
YouTuber has gained popularity among his fans by paying huge amount of money to viewers. He gained fame in 2018 by forgive thousands dollars to small Twitch streamers and YouTubers.
More recently, he has drawn up elaborate contests where fans participate in videos with a chance to win great prizes. Last year, I recreated the Netflix show Squid Game For the contest, which had 456 supporters, and donated $500,000 to a fan in June. A contest inspired by Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
