monuments
Monuments are found throughout the broken world of Athia and are worth seeking out!
These sacred stones still hold some of the Tantas’ power, and if Frey can free them from the taint of the Break, he’ll be richly rewarded with a boost to his stats! Each monument offers a different boost – some can give you more health, others increase your defense, magic power or more.
Of course, although these monuments are easy to liberate, they are not easy to reach. Some are easy to find, while others are placed in hard-to-reach areas that will test your mastery of Frey’s parkour skills.
It’s worth the effort though, as this extra power could be the edge you need in the battles ahead…
Flashbacks
Some monuments have problems called Flashbacks. These take you back to an earlier point in Athia’s history, so you can get a feel for how Break first impacted the world.
The exact nature of these challenges can vary – some ask you to kill enemies within a certain time limit, protect citizens from enemy hordes, or parkour to reach your destination as quickly as possible.
Completing flashbacks will give you Mana (to unlock new spells) and other rewards. You can replay Flashbacks directly from the map screen—the better you do, the more rewards you get, so keep trying until you’ve won everything on offer!
Sources of blessings
These beautiful pools of water are found all over the world and grant Frey a boon that enhances her magical abilities. You’ll be thrilled every time you find one, as they’re a key way to expand Frey’s abilities, giving him entirely new spells to work with in his repertoire.
They have a resonance, so you’ll know if there’s one nearby. It’s up to you to locate it, though. remember –forgotten interesting and rewarding to the observer.
Spellcraft Challenges
Another way to improve Frey’s magic is through Spellcraft Challenges.
Inside the Refuge (a safe place where Frey can rest and craft items) you’ll find ancient books. These ask you to use your abilities in different ways – for example, move several times to your passage through a certain parkour, hit multiple enemies with one attack, and many more different challenges.
Completing Spellcraft Challenges allows you to make your abilities stronger. They are also a great way to explore the magic system forgotten— they can inspire you to use your abilities in ways you never thought possible…
Old coins and trading points
While exploring Athia, you will occasionally collect Ancient Coins. These can be hidden in locked chests or in nooks and crannies of beautiful scenery.
You can spend these coins at trading points, which can increase your value craftsmanship and more.
Some people in Cipal will sometimes request special items from outside the world. If you can find it and deliver it to them, they will reward you for your efforts.
Closed Labyrinths
Hidden underground, all over the world are Locked Labyrinths. These are very dangerous to explore – they consist of vast rooms and twisting corridors with valuable items, crafting materials and some very dangerous monsters.
You’ll have to use all your fighting skills and sometimes some inventive parkour to get past the powerful mini-boss hiding inside. Defeating him will not be easy, but it will be worth it.
Partha
In some safe places, such as The Shady Tree pub in Cipal, you can try your hand at table rolling.
Tables are dice-like objects made of animal bones, and if they land on a character, they will give Frey useful supports. For example, roll a spear and its magical abilities will be enhanced, while the seed gives the ability to restore health.
Unfortunately, these boosts are only temporary, but they can make all the difference when you’re on a break.
Photo spots
Spare a thought for the poor children of Athia. They once had entire worlds to run around, but thanks to Break’s disruptive touch, they are now trapped within the walls of Cipal City.
They would love nothing more than to see what the world looks like on the outside, and Frey is the perfect woman to show them.
You’ll find photo spots all over the world that highlight the world’s awe-inspiring architecture and stunning landscapes. Use parkour to reach these points and get the perfect shot.
The more photos you take for kids, the more features you’ll unlock for photo mode.
So many relatives
Magic cats! Fuzzy, cute magical cats!
Acquaintances of Tantas usually walk around special monuments. If you want to befriend them – and then again, they’re magical cats, why wouldn’t you? – you have to be very careful.
These mystical moggies are quite skittish, so you’ll have to be gentle with them. If you can earn their trust, they will move to the shelters so you can spend any time with them!
Battle Challenges
A break that hurts forgottens world has mutated its beasts, creating monstrous monsters full of rage and aggression. But among this fearsome brood are more depraved creatures – the ultimate class of Breakbeasts.
The sheer size and power of these creatures has to be seen to be believed. They are the perfect predators… and Frey is their prey.
Fortunately, he is not helpless. If you manage to take down one of these super powerful enemies, you’ll be rewarded a lot.
Once you find one of these creatures, you can pick it up at any time. Just be prepared – these represent some of the biggest challenges in the game. Only those with the best equipment, the most powerful spells, and the ability to use them will survive.
