That’ll save £60 on the standard retail price – a huge discount when you consider it’s already Apple’s cheapest iPad. For that, you get the A13 Bionic Chip and 64GB of storage.

We know how it is: you’ve been waiting to buy an iPad on Black Friday, but you keep waiting until after the event, hoping for a better deal.

There is currently some congestion at the more affordable end of the iPad spectrum, with both the 9th and 10th generation models being part of Apple’s product line.
So which one should you choose? The new 10th generation model abandons its predecessor’s outdated frames in favor of a full-screen design and a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, and gains speed with the help of the A14 Bionic chip.
The new chip promises a 20 percent increase in CPU power and a 10 percent increase in graphics compared to the previous 9th generation model, which has a 10.2-inch display and includes the A13 Bionic chip.
In terms of connectivity, the iPad 10 gets USB-C instead of a Lightning port and supports Wi-FI 6 for faster connectivity. Mobile models are 5G and the new iPad is compatible with the new Magic Keyboard Folio.
This all sounds great, but there’s a catch. If you were expecting the new iPad to cost the same as its $329/£369 predecessor, you’ll be disappointed. The entry-level 64GB Wi-Fi model retails at $449/£499, which we’re sure goes without saying.

We must say that there is still a lot to save on the 9th generation model, which is still quite good – it’s currently £309 in the UK on Amazon (opens in new tab) and Only $270 at Best Buy in the US (opens in new tab) – but a discount on the 10th generation (released just last month) might at least give you an idea.

If you’re one of those people and happen to be in the US, it’s worth stopping by Walmart’s website, where you’ll find deals on both the 2020 and 2022 mobile-friendly iPad Airs.
The older model is a cheaper option – $569 (down from $679) gets you the iPad Air 4th generation with 64GB of storage (opens in new tab). There’s an A14 Bionic chip crammed inside, so it’s certainly no slouch.

Amazon UK has taken £50 off the 2022 12.9-inch M2-powered iPad Pro (AKA the biggest and best iPad you can buy), bringing the price down to a still-considerable £1,999. (opens in new tab). There’s no getting away from the fact that this is a lot of money to pay for a tablet, but if that’s what you’re after, any discount is better than nothing.
A keyboard case isn’t an essential iPad purchase by any means—many people do just fine with no problems—but if you’re thinking of your Apple tablet as a laptop replacement or want to use it for occasional typing. time is a good investment.
Amazon currently has this Logictech Slim Folio iPad Keyboard Case for just £49.99 (down from £89.99). (opens in new tab), and it fits the 7th, 8th, and 9th generation “standard” models. There’s no touchpad, but grab a Bluetooth mouse and that won’t be a problem.
It may be “only” an M1 processor, as opposed to the latest M2, but At $799.99, the 2021 12.9-inch iPad Pro is a great buy from Best Buy (opens in new tab). For that money, you get a state-of-the-art tablet with a super-large display, and since the iOS music creation ecosystem is now so mature, it can even replace a laptop.
There’s a lot about the 9th generation “standard” iPad – Reduced from $330 to $270 at Best Buy in the US (opens in new tab) (that’s a $60 savings, fans). Well, it doesn’t have an all-screen design like the other models, but you do get a 10.2-inch Retina display, an A13 Bionic chip, and 64GB of storage. Sounds good to us.
