And now, new leaks confirm that Apple will switch to a notch-less iPhone 14 for the first time.
The images, also leaked by DuanRui — who has a remarkable record of being accurate — show the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max display with a dual-hole design instead of a notch.
And the holes are bigger than predicted in initial reports last year Forbes.

iPhone 14 is expected to have a bigger camera
The camera in the iPhone 14 series is predicted to have “significant” improvements over previous models.
Respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo announced last year that he expected the high-end iPhone 14 models to feature a 48-megapixel camera.
The phones will likely be capable of 8K video recording, taking the iPhone 14 range to the “next level”.
Kuo said this MacRumors:
“In terms of pixel size, the iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and the new 2H22 iPhone are approximately 1.7um, 2um and 1.25um respectively. We believe that the new 2H22 iPhone can support 48MP direct output and 12MP (four cell combined output mode) output at the same time. With 12MP output, the CIS pixel size of the new 2H22 iPhone increases to about 2.5um, which is significantly larger than the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13, and larger than existing Android phones and close to the DSC level. We believe that the camera quality of the new 2H22 iPhone will take mobile phone camera photography to a new level.”
Wider phones
And according to the leaked images of the prototype molds, the new phone series may be slightly larger than the previous models.
Leaked schematics published by Max Weinbach suggest that the iPhone 14 range could also have a larger camera ‘shell’.

The new phones will also likely have autofocus capabilities to improve video calling.

Another report claims that the chassis surrounding the glass could be made of titanium.
This will follow Apple’s move to use strong, scratch- and corrosion-resistant metal in its Apple Watches.
It is believed that the iPhone series will use the same A15 chip that was featured in the iPhone 13 series.
But Kuo appeared in March this year, two pro models will upgrade to the A16 processor.
It is reported that the production tests of the new phones started in July this year, and the mass production will start this month.

Kuo estimated that the iPhone 14 series will be about 15% more expensive than the iPhone 13 series – another big price increase.
This means that the new iPhone 14 could cost around $1,349.
