Pokémon Go is in the middle of the annual anniversary event. And what Pokémon experience is complete without an incompetent evil team trying to ruin everyone’s fun?
To celebrate the game’s sixth anniversary, Niantic is hosting a Battle Weekend event alongside Anniversary Even 2022. This means that players will get tons of bonuses and content related to Go Battle League and Team Go Rocket on July 9th and 10th.
This includes fighting more Go Rocket Grunts, starter Pokémon gaining access to their ultimate elemental moves, and new Shadow Pokémon like Shadow Latios and Shadow Luxray making their first appearances. Just get ready to challenge Giovanni and his top admins to get the most out of Battle Week.

In addition, a branching Time Study and an event-exclusive Special Study will also be completed. Here are all the research tasks and rewards associated with both.
